Momma Phoenix ® is pleased to provide an afterschool program for neurodivergent students in grades K-8. In addition to providing tutoring in reading and math using evidence-based methods of instruction, we also have a rigorous arts program where students can express their unique perspectives through painting, music composition, poetry, sewing, theatre, and culinary arts.
Who Is NeuroDivergent?
According to Cleveland Clinic, the term “neurodivergent” describes people whose brain differences affect how their brain works. This means they have different strengths and challenges from those whose brains do not have those differences. This includes individuals with:

Painting, drawing, photography, and so many more art forms will be explored in our visual arts program.

Sewing
Does your child have a passion for fashion? In our beginner's sewing class, students will learn how to make their own clothes and design tee-shirts! Even more, they can showcase their designs in our annual student fashion show!

Culinary Arts
Through our culinary arts program, students will discover and unleash their inner chef!

Creative Writing
Through creative writing, your child will explore a variety of writing techniques including poetry, song-writing, short stories, and playwriting. Students will have the opportunity to share their creative works in our open mic nights and theatrical productions.
