Hi, I'm Momma Phoenix!

 

I'm a mother, performing artist, and educator who believes in the transformative power of creative expression. I began writing poetry as a child, and through the years, have written children's books,  performance poetry, and music in the genres of gospel, soul, alternative, and hip hop. Art has always been my way of alchemizing the painful circumstances of life, and as a special education teacher, I teach my students to do the same. I am passionate about curating creative experiences for people of all ages because I know what art has done for me. Whether making soap and natural products, sewing clothes, or writing a song, I believe art has the power to change lives. My mission with Momma Phoenix® is to inspire others to find joy and healing through art. I look forward to connecting with you.
